Okay, this was kind of a funny encounter I thought. I have already showed that you can get a cantaloupe for under one dollar so that in itself isn’t the twist. In this case though, the grocery store actually sliced open some corners of a cantaloupe and then sold pairs of them for one dollar. As you can see, the inside looks perfectly fine.
My assumption on why they did this is that we often don`t want to buy items that look awful cosmetically on the outside. Therefore, the item sits there to the point where businesses will have to just throw it away. I guess in this case it kind of shows you that always having this mentality could potentially be making you spend more than you have to.
