This was a good time to post these kinds of deals as large supermarkets are starting to do the same. Essentially, there are a lot of “ugly” fruits and vegetables out there that are normally thrown away as most consumers don’t want to buy things that have such imperfections. It literally could be a small bruise or that the shape of the item is not what we are used to seeing.
For smaller stores though they usually sell these items at heavily discounted prices. For those truly picky about the look these can actually be good for things like juicing too. There are a lot of farmers that make apple cider from apples that have some kind of physical imperfection on it as well. Something to think about if you are one to usually pass on these types of items.
